Sevilla ended up winning the game, beating Shaktar 5-4 on aggregate. On 16 May 2007, in the final held in Glasgow, Scotland, Sevilla defeated fellow Spanish side RCD Espanyol on penalties (regular time score 2-2), for its second consecutive UEFA Cup title.
